PALATINE
PARTY MISSION STATEMENT:
The primary purpose of the Palatine Party of Germantown, since
it was organized in 1997, has been to ensure an alternative opportunity
for all the voters of Germantown, independent of their national
party affiliation, to express their will concerning local candidates
and issues of importance to the community.
GOAL:
This goal is realized through the careful development of an appropriate
platform and selection of candidates with demonstrated knowledge
and experience who are mutually dedicated to representing the
interest of the community as a whole and working together as a
team to address the basic needs, issues and problems of the town,
both currently and through planning for the future.
BACKGROUND:
The Palatine Party name derives from the local heritage, unique
to Germantown, of the original settlers who came to this area
in 1710 from the Palatinate in the Rhineland in Germany seeking
the opportunity to work and live free of persecution. The clipper
ship is the symbol of the party.
